Holy Duck!

How would a sacred space in Mozilla Hubs look like and what should it provide? My answer is a bathtub world dedicated to rubber ducks, where people can gather and celebrate together, but also find inner peace.The rubber duck is the symbol of Mozilla Hubs. Inspired by the book „Learning from Las Vegas“ from Robert Venturi and Denise Scott Brown, the space uses symbolism to create a strong connection between Mozilla Hubs as a service providing virtual spaces and as a platform for exchange.The goal of the project is also to analyze the architectural principle of enclosure and to apply it. Sacred spaces are often closed structures with different degrees of enclosure. People should experience a similar feeling of enclosure when they visit „Holy Duck!“.
